how and why
so maybe i feel okay with space and the universe and the cosmos and death right now, after discussing the how and why and who studies what, i feel above that all, so much as to that im discussing the hows and whys OF the hows and whys..

Prohibition FAILS
everytime.
it is what H. Rittel, or more recently as in I learned it today from ET455 prof T. Steelman, would call a "wicked problem"
or as what I'm talking about, its at least part of one, responsible for one
my cherished physics book just informed me that petroleum was chosen as the fuel for automobiles because the prohibition movements of the day banned the alcohols from biomass. didn't know, never thought about it before, but makes complete sense to me..
just another thing the PM is responsible for, like the mafias.
now we are stuck with a "wicked problem" because some extreme control-freaks endorsed by greedy elitists thought alcohol should be consumed by neither people nor cars - alcohol fueling cars, taking drink driving to a whole new level..
but alas, that is the essence of a "wicked problem".. true prohibitionists sincerely thought they could solve so many social ills by banning alcohol .. but alas solutions just create more problems unforeseen..
apparently someone else has already blogged about this in a much more detail - if i have intrigued you, please go on
im going to delve into more legit researching of this relationship, not now though as its 5 30 am - save it for a later day kids..

oh sacred conceptual physics book
it is oh so enlightening..
here are some quotes to enlighten you:
"Many people feel that it is a sign of weakness to change their minds... More important than defending beliefs is improving them." (p. 10)
"Art is about cosmic beauty. Science is about cosmic order. Religion is about cosmic purpose." (p. 14)
"The belief that there is only one truth and that oneself is in possession of it seems to me the deepest root of all the evil that is in the world." - Max Born (p. 15)

word of the day: TRUCKLE
(v) to act in a subservient manner
which reminds me of my creationword from thursday:
putzling (v/n) its when ur walking along talking to urself about big important things
the "-zling" is a suffix from "puzzling" that can be added to any rootword to suggest musings in progress
"putzing" is a similar word already in use, slang for an idiot, and (!!) vulgar slang for a penis. or it could just mean idling along, to putter, which in effect is quite similar to my putzling
"putter" can be:
similar, it may seem that while you are "putzling", you have little energy or purpse, but that is simply because it is all in the mind (although the most effective putzling indeed is oral; but we'll save this for another day..)

"putter" can be:
| 1. | to busy or occupy oneself in a leisurely, casual, or ineffective manner: to putter in the garden. |
| 2. | to move or go in a specified manner with ineffective action or little energy or purpose: to putter about the house on a rainy day. |
| 3. | to move or go slowly or aimlessly; loiter. |
similar, it may seem that while you are "putzling", you have little energy or purpse, but that is simply because it is all in the mind (although the most effective putzling indeed is oral; but we'll save this for another day..)
all is evanescent
i am a person who is always thinking -
always
usually they are meaningless, trivial,
not well thought out
but sometimes they are more
particularly when i have a stint of time
with no distractions;
like laying waiting for sleep,
or just laying waiting for nothing particular
like being alone surrounded by nature
or alone surrounded by a crowd
these are the times
when the epic, most profound thoughts
ebb through my mind
the currents that are truly soul-reflecting
but they are just momentary
once i recognize the significance
the thoughts is already gone,
forgotten forever
most of these lost thoughts
are eloquent sentences
words chosen and arranged by the soul
to reflect its own spirit,
just using my mind as a medium of expression
i long to record them, on paper, tape,
anything
so i can cherish them forever,
but i can never achieve that memory,
my soul refuses to be captured
so i end up writing, taping, drawing, etc..
trivial things that are as inaccurate,
as they are unimportant
expressions on paper are always different
from those in the mind
at least for me.
