enlightment brings true bliss

Ignorance is [a false] bliss because we live in a pretense world that ignores our connection to the environment. To know of the wonders of the natural world, and yet have to live amongst the evils of human society, it is pain.

But bliss can be found in a life of harmony with our mother earth, because that is truth.  If such a reality would exist, then ignorance would be pain. Those who do not realize that the emptiness they feel cannot be filled with material goods are ignorant of their source of pain - not knowing the natural wonders and their natural place amongst the universal way. By seeking knowledge of these wonders, they may find their place in the universal way – this enlightenment is the truest and purest bliss.
